why is there no traditional animal crossing game on wii u? ive only seen amiibo festival and it looks like a board game

buuut that wouldnt make sense because they made new leaf on the 3DS, and the 3DS can play DS games. i dunno then
Wii U was failing and they didn't have faith in Animal Crossing succeeding in any way on it.
