Comparing 3DS to other versions, yes. It has no End dimension, lack of 1.13 mechanics, few DLCs, and is visually garbage.
Yes... you dont even have two joysticks

It also got the end in version 1.7. (Patch Notes say they added the End Gateway Block.)
