what do you mean "usb storage"? did you install you games onto a usb hard drive or flash drive? that works just fine for me, the only oroblem being memory space.
Hard drive. I got it working again. Literally just turned it off and turned it back on.
For HDDs, always use a Y-cable. Also, perform a SMART check on the drive on your PC if you can. If it's going bad, I recommend picking up a large capacity and durable SD card, setting up SDUSB and moving games/saves from the HDD to it. Works well for me!
