PSA: If you have a New Nintendo 3DS with an IPS display, press L + Down + Select. This will open the Rosalina menu. Navigate to "Screen Filters", and select "Enhance top/bottom screen colors" depending on which displays on your unit are IPS. More important details in replies.

You need Luma3DS 13.2.1 or newer to do this. Also, this setting does not persist after shutting down your 3DS, so you'll need to re-enable it after each shutdown.
