so rec room is getting shut down later today, thought id share my thoughts so #1 they were operating a huge free to play VR game, do you know how expensive it is to run the servers for an online vr game? #2 they were never able to make a profit, things like tokens, rr+, and even↓

gift cards were added, still no profit, they even did extreme cost cutting measures like mass lay offs and were never able to make a profit. i would think they relied on venture capital too much to the point where its "profit or die". #3 they had the game across so many↓
platforms, in which it cost a lot to even put anything on them, but they also needed to push weekly updates across all of them.
so how did rec room survive 10 years if the devs failed to profit off of it?

I actually once passed by their headquarters in seattle recently and they took down all their signs and everything
