HELP, i wanted to play super mario maker w cheats but everytime i open it, the console crash out and say "an exception ocurred". what should i do? :((

Is this on wii u?
If its on 3ds an option could be erasing the game (NOT THE DATA) and download again. If its on wii u (i don't think so) do the same process
