You can look on the ground for little holes, they may be fossils. when u unbury them, take it to the museum to identity them, and after, sell!! it's worth quite a lot, and a "easy" way to work money.

Improve your relationship with your neighborhood, sometimes they'll be so happy for you being a good friend, that they will often give you gifts! and it's fun to get along with them. also, try to make friendship with Sable from the Sister's Able shop, just talk to her everyday +

(...) and she will slowly open to you! and by doing so, you can discover more stories about them and neighbors. Improve your environment, plant new trees and make it cuter! the citizens will like it, and you can keep track of comments about the environment at the city hall.

and lastly, but not less important: you can try to hunt insects, fishes and etc. to make money! some are worth quite a while. and keep an eye for the calendar events, there are in-game holidays and irl holidays! they are always so fun and have a lot of things to do.

ALSO, try to get into Redd's shop!!! it's a secret shop for members, I'm not sure how it works in NL so you might wanna to take a look. But it haves rare items! but keep an eye... sometimes some items are overpriced, and sometimes not.
