do some research theres no single best model im writing this on a zelda 3ds xl! :)
i think that 3ds(all)/2ds(new) is one of the best consoles to take on a trip or anywhere. I wouldn't take orginal 2ds becouse you can't close it, but it all depends how you want to play it. I have new 3ds xl, but i'm a fan of 3D effect.
The new nintendo is better I think. It performs better! Maybe you can try to search a new 2ds. ^^
