ngl, i think after this gen is where pokemon started mostly objectively going downhill... i still think gen 4 & 5 are infinitely better than 6 but being the first 3d, having sylveon, etc. makes it chill as opposed to gen 7+

ngl people rlly hated X&Y on release. It's definitely a downgrade from B&W (which ppl also didn't like on release) and is arguably worse than Platinum so in a way the decline may have started before but I still play them all lol. They all have merit and I have fun but ur right.
