My Wii U won't play Wii U games, but plays Wii games just fine it's driving me crazy it keeps giving me discs errors whenever I insert a Wii U disc in, but not for Wii titles. What is causing this issue?

you could have some bad luck in terms of wii u discs, they get disc rot really easily.
try blowing on the disc

prolly some type of laser anomaly in the console with the Wii U laser being blind and not the vWii one. idk it's what I've seen on the net.

Should I open the Wii U and clean or replace the laser? I have 2 Wii Us-8GB and 32GB. The 8GB White one gave out because it got a Hynix NAND chip and the 32GB Black one has disc errors, but works just fine. Can I swap the laser between the two models?
