A modded WiiU is overall better as you can play anything from and before the WiiU era, even with hardware backwards compatibility with the Wii or even running gamecube roms on hardware (no emulation needed). I love my WiiU
i love my wii u, but i will admit i'm a total gamecube shill hdmi required = wii u/vwii otherwise ill just use my cube on my CRT

Agree with the backwards compatibility. And although surprisingly enough wii games look better on the old Wii, the ease of use of vwii and hdmi are valid points. Also take a look at vc injects. Wii and even Gamecube. Some nice work being uploaded by hardcore fans on archive.org.
