Does the game just not run well on Wii U or is it just me?

it's not just you, it's honestly a miracle that they could even get it to run on the wiiu
they got rid of the gamepad features so the switch version wasn't worse. wouldn't be surpised if they optimized the wii u version less or lowered the frame rate.
it doesn't run the best but honestly l don't mind, played it to completion and bought the DLC even though l had the switch as an option
