right, thought it was ogbx by the drawing. silly qeuestion, but have you checked the mains cable to see if the fuse in the plug hasn't blown? if in the US, the cable won't have a fuse (2 pin plug) so try another cable of the same type.

Will look into it. I heard bad capacitors typically play a role in this.

this is true, namely the clock capacitor leaking electrolyes all over the motherboard, but that only happens when the mains in has been left on when the console is off, why it's good tp unplug physically after use. m$ cheaped out on the design there.
