Hi ! i didn't know this game existed so i decided to give it a try but... i don't understand anything ! is there a goal ? what im i supposed to do ? any tips ? pls help me

The goal really is just, "survive" for as long as possible. Longest I survived was a week in-game, and I was able to fix up a helicopter, and refuel a boat. It's pretty neat, there's even a burried space ship as a refference to The Thing that you can go to and explore.
