im using a regular new 3ds i highly recommend

as an o3dsxl owner, wait for the chance of a n3dsxl. the n2dsxl speakers are apparently where they will get covered by your hands. if you don't care about that then go for it :)

i had a new 2dsxl but once i got my new 3dsxl i immediately made that my daily driver. it just feels so much sturdier and higher quality. so if youre able to get an n3dsxl instead i recommend it!! if not the n2dsxl will still be a greatly enjoyed upgrade :)
