I only have a gamepad but if I want to use a controller I just play the gamecube version ˙˘˙
The pro is more comfortable to me, but the gamepad allows item sorting without having to pause the game.
Gamepad because it enables me to be lazy and just use the Gamepad screen instead of the TV
