totally worth it. I got mine passt october, modded it the day I got it, and I have been having lots of fun with it, i just got it for around 150 bucks, at CEX! 100% recommend getting one, modding the wii u is super fun, and the vwii even more! And the wii u game library isnt bad!

1 - absolutely 2 - ebay or fb marketplace. try to get one with black connectors on the back, and NOT one with hynix chips (look it up)

if you are looking to get one for playing single player, there are tons of games like: wind waker hd, breath of the wild, zombi u, wonderful 101... but I also like the wii u for party games, creating miis from photos is SOO funny, nintendo land is one of the best party games ever

mario 3d world is pretty goofy, game and wario is a funny game, there's pictoparty, which is just pictionary, wii sports club is... well, wii sports...

but its not just that, theres the entire library of wii games like mario galaxy, new super mario bros wii, wii sports resort...

but thats all just with a regular console, by modding it, u can play gamecube via nintendont with game backups, emulate any other nintendo console other than switch and 3ds, on the wii u, u can play DS games on the tv, bottom screen on gamepad, top screen on tv!

also, u dont even have to buy wii u pro controllers, or the gamecube adapter, as with bloopair (a homebrew app) u can use any kind of bluetooth controller on wii u! That can be a ps4 controller, ps5, ps3, xbox, switch pro controller...

also, dont buy one pre modded, thats just a waste of money, as the modding process is super easy! You can be connected to pretendo in less than an hoyr, and play all of those games like splatoon, mario maker, and soon, smash wii u!

also, miiverse lags way less on wii u than 3ds, its a real life saver.

so overall, the wii u has a good enough library for sinle player, AND multiplayer, has the entire wii library too, the power to emulate any past console u want, an active online community with pretendo!
