This might be blasphemous but lately I've been kinda burnt out on playing my Wii U, and instead been playing more of my Switch despite the fact I don't have NSO anymore. (I haven't touched it in a few weeks but it sits next to my Switch)

I use my wii u every day, despite the gamepad being etched
I mean the Switch is basically a better version of the Wii U so not really... If you chose a Switch over a 3DS though... lets just say you won't want to walk down any dark alleyways.
