Has anyone heard about the philosophy thingy doo about a pot of boiling water, an egg, a carrot, and coffee beans? It's a metaphor for how people are affected by life, by the world. The carrots when boiled become soft and mushy, very fragile. Delicate. (1/3)

The egg becomes hard in the water. Tough, uninviting. But the coffee beans change the water around it, not letting itself become changed by the water. Making the world better, nicer. (2/3)

I feel like the egg. I've tried being nice, a sweetheart, someone people could rely on. But I've been taken for granted time and time again. I've become bitter, hateful, angry, and yet people don't care about it. I keep getting hurt. That's all (3/3)
