i had this happen to me up until a few days ago. it went back to normal once i put in the dns settings that re-enable the online servers.

did not work
if you have your wii u modded, hold L+down dpad+select, click on inkay, go to boss settings, enable the first thing you see on boss settings then reset ur wii u and boom wara wara plaza is alive again
