How do you unlock stuff in course create mode

All you need is play more! thing will unlock over time.
if you're on 3ds, you have to play the super mario challenge to unlock more items
you have to be in build mode for five minutes then itll scedule for tomorrow. but if you wait a littlr longer itll "arrive sooner then theyve expected."
