Whats your reason for owning a 3ds/wii u in 2024? for me its the fact that playing ds/3ds games on actual hardware feels right, compared to emulators.
Post
im a console and console modding geek, so im making my own collection :3
to relive a childhood I never had (i only had playstation consoles when I was young :3)
The 3ds is the definitive way to play Virtual Boy + Modding is soo easy and fun
It was mainly to upgrade my nearly decade-old 2DS, so these new homebrew activities brewing about have really just been great quality-of-life additions.
same as u
I just never stopped using my 3ds ever since I first got it! Though I mostly just play pokemon and yo-kai watch games on it now.
my parents got me my 2DS in 2019 on my birthday, and I love it. Although I use it irregularly, it holds a special place in my heart and is overall a great console. When I do use it, its to play mario and kirby games
i don't always have the money for nintendo switch online, so having wii u and 3ds games as an option is nice. also nostalgia, i grew up in this era of nintendo.
Games that catch my attention, emulation and preservation. Since the Wii U I own, in the words of my dad, was one of the last ones before Nintendo stopped selling them in 2017. After an unaware young me factory reset the console in May-June sameyear, first log was in August.
They are my favorite nintendo consoles and both consoles are still working therefore i still play on them.
we got our wii u repared this year for very cheap now i can finaly play the few games that are wii u exclusive like wii fit u and paper mario color splash
I miss Miiverse, but I also feel playing on real hardware is the most authentic to play a game as intended. Even if you mod it. Better than emulation
