I'm attempting to Install Ubuntu into a ext2 partition using 3DS Linux but it keeps freezing when I attempt to use the tar command... Hopefully someone can upload the newer build from GBAtemp theres a build thats compressed as a tar.xz

Oh so basically you installed some random Ubuntu inside a ext2 part and you're trying to chroot into it from Linux3DS? If so that won't work, the distro is probably not compiled for ARMv6k and there's no drivers
There is a project for armv6l ALARM and bulleye debian I have alteritives if it fails.
