32ＧＢ is recommended for all wii u's i think yours a hynix or not ig...

they are safer in the fact they do no use the hylex chip in have one im replaceing the nand whith a nandaid mod just to do it...i like the whie better if you mod yoy dont really need the extra system memory anyway

You can check if you have the faulty chip by downloading WiiUIdent from the HB appstore. Then, check the MLC manufacturer. I have a 32 gb black model WiiU and my chip is from Samsung.

i use a pico pie to check now before i buy them when i find them no mod required :) i have one with each chip the hyinx im currently work to install the nand aid mod
