I didn't, it's completely gone.

Elkairo, I also tried to use animal crossing new leaf editor and checkpoint and neither worked or were helpful, I lost my world because I followed the prompts to reformat the save data when the game said that my data was corrupted because I thought I would still have my town.

I also closed the game and went back the first time I noticed that my town was gone and it didn't work, my town was still gone, and I also tried putting the cartrdge back in my original homebrewed 2ds were the game was saved on and that didn't work either.
