I have a copy of new super mario bros u + new super luigi u in very good condition but i keep getting the invalid disc error. there is only a few scratches but they aren't that big and ive had games in worse condition work fine. other people have the same issue. any ideas?

Some wii u disks just die sometimes so i could be that. insert another wii u disk game you know works. if it does not work, try cleaning or replacing the lens. see if wii games work. if yes but not wii u, then your lens needs to be replaced, and the wii u reader part is broken.
every game that ive tried works besides this one and another one. other people have had this same issue on the same game so it could just be a defective batch
