what is the purpose of the old tomodachi life move-in edition? like to my knowledge it only gives you a panda suit for the real game

It was mainly a "demo" of sorts. The full game (physical copies only) came with codes for the move-in edition, if I remember correctly.
it was just a demo version of the game that real owners could share with other ppl
