I'm wondering if modding Nintendo Switch is worth it in 2026. I really want to play some exclusives like Animal Crossing or new Tomodachi Life. Should I buy a Switch? Is homebrew on it worth it and mature enough?

If you really want those games, then yeah. But don't buy a switch 1, they raised the prices and less games are coming out for it. its more worth it to buy a switch 2.
Yeah, you're right. If I ever bought one it would be from a used market. I currently play those games on an emulator but nothing beats owning a console + it's portable and my pc is not.
if you are buying a console based on its homebrew-ability you are buying it for the wrong reason
just buy an ayn odin if you want portability
The reason is to play switch exclusive games on the go. Like I said I want to have a collection of so called game backups.
I don't want to emulate switch games on a different hardware cuz I can do it on my pc. That's not the point.
