bruh why is music production so complicated??
Post
it just is. i stick to already-existing music.
actually is not complicate.
for some type of genre
well sure, it's not complicated...in theory. in practice, though, it's a little harder.
nah, it ain't complicated. here's actual tips
- stay minimal, don't overcomplicate - instruments matter. bass is low, strings are mid, melodies are high. avoid having these ranges interfere with each other
- your mix sounds bad because you weren't paying attention to it. this is a skill you need to build up by failing. in the meantime, use an spectral analyzer to find what is obviously empty or loud (try getting the general idea flat)
- when in doubt, add bass - when in serious doubt, remove bass - if you make things too loud, the limiter die. it sounds bad. 70% of the time the actual problem is that everything else is taking too much space. not everything needs to play at the same time
- try adding a little reverb - especially on master. add as much reverb as you can on master. keep adding reverb until you can't actually hear anything
- take breaks - accept failures as experience - etc - music is fucking cool >:3
get lmms and make a masterpiece (squidward yell)
