Message of the day: love isn't strange. As a christian, I see that the ones who love are strange for this world, as people prefer to hate, thinking they preserve their dignity. In reality, by loving others you find peace and joy. God Himself is love. Don't think you're strange.
Also having close friends the same gender as you and loving them isn't gay. English is a weird language because "love" can mean like 4 or so things. Greek however, has a different word for each kind of "love".
