I think the game won't be as good as the 3DS game, 1stly bc the switch doesn't fit in the pocket and TL is really a game on the go lmao

You could look online for a used switch lite! Usually they're a lot cheaper!

I preordered the game but I don't have a Switch either. If I pass year 9, I may be able to get one, but I'm not really expecting myself to pass. I've only got 2 months to make a difference and approve all the subjects I've failed, or I won't be able to get it.
