Guys, It's canon. They changed from Piston Honda, to Piston Hondo. This change from Punch Out Wii, Is also present at NES Remix 2, Smash for Wii U, and also at Smash Ultimate. Don't believe me? I Don't blame you. Check it by yourselves. Honda is no longer a thing in Punch Out.

I think is to avoid copyright problems with the car manufacturer Honda?

That's interesting. I didn't know about that. But the weird thing is that in Street Fighter, E. Honda is still E. Honda after all this years. Even nowadays still.
