I have a modded black Wii U and it's working just fine!
I did and it went fine, typing on it rn. the only "hard part" was the vwii but only to get it running. it is just barely harder than a 3DS.
Modding a Wii U is easy, you have to purposely go out of the way on bricking one
mine is a black wii u lol
