The wii u homebrew is separate from the wii homebrew
Homebrew your vwii, then patch a mkwii game to connect to wiimfi servers. Either patch through a software or use wiiflow to do the job by itself
Figured it out i needed to use my ethernet adapter as the vwii wasnt getting internet
