So is there like no way to get more gem apples on the 3ds version anymore? Even this 3ds is modded, there is still no way to get any but the switch version?

You open rosalina menu (press L + Down + Select) and find the cheats section, there'll be one that gives you 5k apples
Usually I check checkpoint for any cheats
