I bought a used japaness new 2DSll and used 3ds still got the users pics on the sd card even after being wiped and it so many pics of this japanes kid from 2011 and his mom and I have the strong urge to send him back the sd card cuz I don't have the heart to wipe those memories

You sure the seller was the kid in question? Maybe message first, ask if they want em, just save em if not.
yeah on my current N3DS XL's sd card are also a lot of photos and screenshots from its previous owner(s) it's so fascinating
