Nintendo promised, at the reveal video of BOTW, that a live map and interactive inventory - just like Zombie U - would be offered in the game aka a physical representation of the sheika slate. But, they retreated on that desgin only for switch version not to be seen as inferior.

That's exactly how I feel, and even then the switch has a touchscreen just like the wiiu and could work in handheld mode, but in the end the menus don't even have that basic functionality.
