@AlexBg you're Linux on my 3DS is wonderful but do you have plans to build a ktr build for new3DS extended cpu and memory?
Post
It does AlexBg made a version that fixes many Issues. I love his version of 3DS Linux
What can you use linux on the 3DS for? like i have linux on my switch and that's very useable, but the 3DS is magnitudes weaker. Is it legitimately useful for emulators or smth or is it just a fun thing?
I'm attempting to use micro text editor and extract/make tar files which works until it freezes do to it targeting the old 3ds without the extended mem
the ktr builds it works well ctr not so much.
I HAVEN'T MADE LINUX3DS, I'VE ONLY MADE A DESKTOP FOR IT! Anyway there is already KTR builds, but they can't use the extended memory because of some hardware registers things, Linux3DS is already limited
@Laky Not a lot of things, but there is already a running Linux OS you can code on (i ported a Gameboy emulator to Linux3DS to test and it works pretty well)
I'm not sure why but your build allows me to modify my sdcard while the ktr builds don't I have rw /sd while modern builds don't....
@Dr.Glop It's not "my" build, i've just downloaded it from the internet (https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-linux-for-the-3ds.407187/page-35#post-8522677) if you wanna get it too
I'm trying to use tar and mkfs.ext4 but it freezes... :C
@Dr.Glop ADD THE IMG.EXT4 TO YOUR SD CARD, OTHERWISE IT WON'T WORK
I'm stuck on 3DS can you upload to github releases?
You can download the file "https://github.com/AtexBg/3ds-fbge/releases/download/v0.1.0/linux_3ds-fbge_install.zip" from your console (using Github3DS for example) and then extract the ZIP with 3DShell
