I downloaded Splatoon,but it prompts me to udate.With the Pretendo plugin installed,I seem unable to update online.Is this normal?Also,without the update,can I not engage in online battles?How should I solve this problem?

you can download the update alone from WIIUDOWNLOADER and then install it to your wii u just like a game, if you got NUSspli you can install the update from there too
log in ur nintrndo network profile with pretendo off, update and then go packbto pretendo on on ur pretendo profile
you don't need a nnid account. just turn off inkay in plugin manager and download update. or use nusspli.
