man i wish there was a way to fake adhoc to play online with the 3ds :/

The 3ds version cannot enter network mode directly. the wii u has to do so using the packet relay tool. which hosts a lobby for 3ds to connect to. and the wii u will relay it to the servers.
But MH3U 3DS can play local wireless with other 3DS. Maybe one day we'll trick the 3DS to think it's playing locally while being online.
