i use a configured 128gb sd card, but an 8gb, 16gb, or 32gb sd card will be your best option. while you can use a 64gb or 128gb sd card, you will have to convert it to fat32. 1gb to 4gb sd cards have too little of space. hope this helps. :D

I use a 64GB card. 3ds games are honestly really small and 64 is more than enough for what I want to do.
