If your internet is working it could be one of the following issues: -There may not be Pretendo functionality with that yet. -It could be a device issue. Try booting onto Nintendo servers, reboot, and boot back into pretendo servers.

Sadly Mario Maker functionally isn't finished with Pretendo, there isn't very much available yet.
