People didn't like using the 3DS to play Smash for Wii U. But for me it was a underrated feature. I know it was for Smash 4 only, but just imagine if this feature was also in Mario Kart 7 for example, and being able to play Mario Kart 8 with the 3DS. Such and Underrated feature.

Definitely, it did come in handy quite a few times for me. Too bad it was for this game only, indeed..

I'd probably have played the Wii U version more if I could use the 3DS as a controller for online play
