it means that my 3ds thought my personal mii wasn't mine. so basically i was stuck being unable to edit my personal mii for a long time.
you mightve transferred your mii from your wii u if that helps!!
i dont have a wii u... besides, it's fixed now by a handy tool called miichanic. (look it up)
