i recommend looking into Splatoon Legends! it's a fan project that's goal is to port Splatoon to 3DS they actually just showcased some gameplay on their discord today

Id also recommend splatoon legends just like the person above me! I think the project started a year ago and as far as I know it hasnt been abandoned
