Real talk how does this game compare to the other xenoblade games? I don't really have any interest in playing 2 or 3 but I've enjoyed what I've played of 1. Idk just curious cause I've pretty much only heard about this being stuck on Wiiu and nothing about its actual quality lol

the story isnt as crazy but the gameplay is phenomenal

I haven't finished the game yet but I hear from most people that its the weakest of the series. Which says a lot because the game is still still amazing.
I hate to admit, but I personally think it does not compare to the other titles in quality when comp to Takahashi's masterpiece which is the Xeno series as a whole. Monolithsoft should've made this game have an idendity of its own ngl
So, here's my summary of the game for you from 200 hours of experience: The game is almost nothing like Xenoblade 1 and 3 (I haven't played 2). It doesn't connect to the other three in any way only by it's name. Gameplay is extremely fun, but hard to master. (Character limit)
People have varied opinion on this game so to sum this all up, I'd say watch a few trailers and try the gameplay for yourself. It is nothing like the other ones, but it shares the core ideas of the franchise.
It's a phenomenal game and I would highly recommend it, but it might not be everyones favourite. Online is also a must and the online missions are fun to do with others, but I'd say see if you are interested and give it some time to spice (about 15h imo). Hope this helps :)
Ah I see thank you for the input, it sounds like I can basically just go for it having only played the first game then? I'll probably pick it up if I see it in a game store or smth haha
