I think you need to need to download individual patches for games. Could be wrong tho.

try accessing miiverse with the game open. Could be a coincidence, but that seems to help me.

thanks for the response im on version 2.12.1 i downloaded the patch file from nuspli

i can post on miiverse in the game i see other players as well in the plaza just as soon as i click lobby it says i need a network connection hit try to connect and it errors

figured it out! thanks guys turns out the time on my wiiu was off by 2mins and once fixed it worked
