do swapnote and doodle only work with friends or do they also work with streetpass? (I'm sorry if it is a dumb question but I'm new to this 3ds thing n.n)

Streetpassing anyone with Swapnote will send them your note, they don't need to be a registered friend.
Swapdoodle doesn't have Streetpass support, probably for safety reasons.
Swapnote no need to be friends works with streetpass/netpass. Swapdoodle you need to be friends using you Fc.
