I have got homebrew on 3DS and i want to know whether i should get it on my wii u as it is meant to be harder and more likely to brick your console.

Personally, since U have a Japanese region-locked Wii U it was worth it, but I'm not sure about your scenario
neither are really likely to brick your console by hacking, isfshax does exist on wii u but the chance of it bricking is pretty low, it also provides brick protection
