my 3ds's screen is nice and not yellow. should i pay a little more to get another 3ds that has no scratches but a little yellow on the top screen? will the yellow get worse over time?

I'll be generous. I don't think it's a good idea to buy a system that look new but has yellowed screens. Just have the shell replaced by a professional. Un-yellowed-screened-systems are generally a better option, as there is no yellow filter, and hence, better video quality.

If you take good care of your system, the paint will stay on until the shell is replaced with a new one.

Plus, the longer you had said system, the more nostalgic you'll feel when playing on the system. (especially if you bought the system between 2012-2015) The decaying paint does resemble some sort of nostalgia.
